Choose a Volunteer Program
At the Ronald McDonald House, there are many opportunities for you to get involved. Choose from becoming a House Volunteer or a Student Volunteer. House Volunteers assist guests, with office duties, light cleaning, and other daily tasks. House Volunteers are assigned to one shift once a week or every other week for 3 hours. Students with school volunteer requirements may apply as Student Volunteers. Tasks are similar to that of a House Volunteer and are also scheduled for a 3-hour shift once a week or every other week, depending on the number of required service hours. Due to the nature of the volunteer work, students 15 years old and younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian while at the House.

Volunteer Authorizations

Liability Wavier
By agreeing to this application you hereby authorize verification of all statements and release Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern West Virginia from liability in connection with same. You also authorize Ronald McDonald House to verify all information provided and conduct a back ground check. Once your application is received, the Programs and Services Director will contact you to schedule an orientation meeting. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for a House Volunteer position. Any Student Volunteer under the age of 15 must have an adult present at all times. All participants will be required to sign a liability waiver. For the welfare of the families, individuals suffering from a cold or contagious illness should not volunteer at the House.
