Volunteer – How You Can Make a Difference
The Ronald McDonald House receives support from a strong foundation of volunteers. Volunteer efforts help to maintain a safe, clean, friendly environment in which families can live. Their acts of love and kindness make this House more than just a place to stay, they make it a home away from home.
If you wish to share your love and kindness in support of the Ronald McDonald House mission, the possibilities for volunteers are endless. Whether it’s answering direct phone calls, preparing a meal for the families, repairing a broken item, or assisting with fundraising events, Ronald McDonald House of Southern WV can use your help.
Adult volunteers work to help our guests, visitors and staff. Our volunteers contribute in a variety of ways and have fun doing it!
House Volunteer – responsibilities include filing paperwork, answering phones, giving house tours, light cleaning, stocking supplies and more. They volunteer at least three hours a week on a regular basis. Weekday, weeknight and weekend shifts are available.
Special Events Volunteer – Some of our volunteers lead or participate in special events, such as working golf tournaments, rummage sales, fundraising events, or our Christmas open house, to name a few. These opportunities are communicated to volunteers throughout the year.
“Extra Hands” Volunteer – The House will occasionally need “Extra Hands” to help with certain tasks, such as the Pop Tab Program or grocery shopping. Volunteers can participate in these activities, or can offer to lead and organize the activity. Apply today!
